PLUMBING LEAKS WASTE WATER AND YOUR MONEY!
A continuous loss of water from a leak in the sizes indicated below, over
a three (3) month period, would waste water in the amounts shown.
Dripping
plumbing
fixtures or running toilets could also increase your water consumption by
a similar amount. Please repair any leaks or dripping plumbing fixtures because
your Water Department cannot reduce your water bill.

Possible checks for high water usage:
- dripping taps - inside and outside
- leaking toilets – check by turning off the water supply to the toilet
for a good period of time
- humidifier on the furnace
- water backup sump pumps ( the shut off has quit
working )
- leak in line between the meter at the road and the house – indicated
by wet, soggy areas in the lawn
- water purification systems (the ones
that boil the water and catch the steam)
